Being a description of a journey from the savage winter whiteness of Waterloo to the Saharan sands of Egypt, land of the Pharaohs. Or: What I did on my summer holidays.
If fortune favors the bold, then it was bold of me to be born in the second half of the 20th century, in time to have a career in computer programming, and in a culture that thinks programmers are worth paying for. It finances my unlikely interests of space exploration history and the study of Ancient Egypt. I'm no expert in either, but I can quote you a lot of vague trivia, and I can also supply you with a photographs of both. Here though, it's mostly the latter.
